How Many Alternatives?

June M asks: “Does the DMV ever accept “ALL OF THE ABOVE” as an answer? I didn’t think so. I thought you had 3 choices and only 1 was acceptable.”

Even if tests differ between the states, it is absolutely true that questions with only three alternatives are most common.

We are slowly adopting that practise as well.

But remember, even if we try to have as many real questions as possible, this is still just a site where you can practise your knowledge for free. Nothing else.

The point of having “all of the above” and “none of the above” as alternatives, is that people sometimes answer just a little bit too fast. We want you to get into the habit of reading the whole question and all of the alternatives, before answering.

That way you increase your chances of passing the real thing.
