Every driver should know the state’s motor vehicle laws and policies and safe driving practices.

Each test is based on Illinois Rules of the Road, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) issued by the Federal Highway Administration, and State laws. A test consists of 28 questions, and you must correctly answer 23 questions to pass.
Remember, you can take your preparation test over and over again. You will get a new set of randomly selected questions each time.
